It’s time guys. It’s time to put the women in charge. You had a good run for 250 years, and we appreciate you trying. We do. But it’s time.
Put women only at the top of every company, all top government positions, every board, all women, all women doctors, only women making financial decision, banking decisions… what’s that you say? That’s crazy, one gender in charge of everything? …how do you think we got to the insanely dangerous place we are now?
And it’s not permanent, it’s temporary, just until we sort out which guys are doing all the damage to the reputations of all the guys. If you haven’t raped or murdered anyone, you should be fine and introduced back into the upper work force quickly. If you haven’t dabbled in ped Ophelia, you’ll be back in your old job in no time. Allegedly only 10% of the men are doing all the damage.
I know, I know. I hear you, “we need men to protect us from the men.” But do you hear you?
We don’t need the men to protect us from the men, just like we don’t need guns to protect us from the guns. We need laws to protect us, and people willing to enforce said laws.
I don’t know what a woman run society looks like, but I assume it looks magical like New Zealand or Iceland. I assume the streets are cleaner and people are happier and children are more protected in woman run societies.
If you’re a decent man, you would support this because… 99% of sexual assaulters are men, according to Cal Poly Humboldt. And 91% of their victims are women, and 9% are male. If you are a man and you truly wanted to protect women, you’d let them lead. You’d want them to lead, for their protection and yours.
In the 1990’s the stat was that 1 in 4 women were raped before they graduated college. Now it’s 1 in 3. We’re not only not solving the problem, we’re making it worse.
Regarding homocide. Men are responsible for 90% of homocides in the US. Worth noting that many of the women who commit the 10% do so in self-defense or attack someone who previously abused them. According to The Silent Epidemic of Femicide in the United States a whopping 92% of women murdered in 2018 were killed by someone they knew. You know, the man that was supposed to be protecting them from the men.
According to RAINN nearly every minute someone in the United States is sexually assaulted, every 9 minutes that someone is a child.
250 years of men in charge has led the US to the rock bottom of societies. The US homocide rate is 26 times that of other developed nations according to Everytown.
“But we have laws to protect people”
98% of sexual assault perpetrators walk free, roughly half before the case even goes to trial. According to RAINN only 1 in 3 victims even report it. 80% of college students do not report it, and college students are 3 times more likely to experience it. Of the ones that choose not to report, 20% feared retaliation from their rapist and 15% thought the police could not or would not do anything anyway. Sadly as the Epstein files drip out into public view, these victims are correct.
93% of child sex victims knew their abuser. 60% of all rapists already know their victims.
“We need to just enforce the laws we have”
The United States has the most people incarcerated than any other country in the world, by a large margin. The US only accounts for 2% of the people on the planet, yet accounts for 25% of the people incarcerated on the planet. The mass incarceration system in the US has increased 500% since 1970, and costs the US taxpayers an estimated $80 billion annually. There’s an argument to be made to abolish for profit prison systems, but that’s a topic for another time.
1 in 5 people in the US have done time in jail for all sorts of crimes. According to the MacArthur Foundation, every US state individually incarcerates more people per capita than most nations. The US has the highest incarceration rate of any democracy.
Why talk about incarceration? Because 37% of sexual assault perpetrators have prior convictions. 10% have 5 or more prior convictions. And prisons are often where the problems start, every year in the U.S., around 80,600 people are sexually assaulted while incarcerated.
The phrase, “do the crime and do the time” should actually be “do the time and do the crime.”
The solution is a society that doesn’t just use punishment to solve all the problems. We need a society where people don’t feel obligated or justified to do crimes in the first place. We need a society that doesn’t accept rape or murder as a part of life. We need a society that has checks along the way to stop people before they go down the wrong path, not just arrest them when they get to the end of it.
So yes, men, thank you for your service. We appreciate you. Thanks for your attempt. You tried. We’ll take it from here.
